Submission Hints and Tips Last time we looked at Question 2 Business Planning parts a & b. Let's finish off Question 2 with parts c & d. c) Describe the risk issues you have identified for your business and sumarise the risk mitigation strategies you have put in place*. Risk means more than just Occupational Health & Safety. Consider environmental factors such as flood, fire etc. Also think about, fraud, theft, loss of key personnel, not enough insurance, health of the business owner etc. We have attached another great tip sheet for you on this topic Note that this question asks to describe the risk issues and summarise the strategies. It would be great if you can give each risk a ranking e.g. High, Medium, Low or Level 1 - 10. d) Demonstrate your involvement in, and contribution to, the tourism industry. Explain how it contributes to the success of your business and the tourism industry as a whole*. Note this is a two-part question and you must ensure you answer both parts fully. However, you could almost look at it as four parts, be sure you cover:
Once you have listed all your involvement and contribution you must tell the judges how that benefited your business and the tourism industry. Judges are looking for you to give back to the industry as well as participate in it. Initiatives could be enhanced through showing measurable outcomes e.g. what is the value of economic contribution by your activities. Some other tips for all your questions:
